Partners for Youth has collaborated with Colorado Fingerprinting to serve as the civilian fingerprinting site for Steamboat Springs / Routt County, to help fill the need for a fingerprinting site in our community.

Please note: Partners staff has limited capacity for answering questions about the overall fingerprinting process; our role is simply to conduct the appointment to capture your fingerprints. Colorado Fingerprinting is responsible for managing the fingerprinting process and they are the ones in direct contact with Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Sign-Up Instructions:

- Make sure you’re ready: Have your SSN, your organization’s CBI Unique ID, and your organization’s billing code (if applicable).
- Go to https://abi.cabiond.com/ and click "Create Account" to begin. New to Fingerprinting? Create an Account and Proceed.
- Create Account: Fill in your Personal Information, Contact Information, and Account Information.
- Place Order: Click "Place New Order"
- Order Options: Choose “Fingerprint Location”, enter zip code 80487, choose “Partners for Youth” and click “Next”.
- Schedule Appointment: The available days for the location selected will be displayed. Select a day and the available times will be displayed. Select the time slot and click “Next.
- Billing Code: If your organization is paying in part or in full for your fingerprinting fees and has shared billing code information with you, enter it here.
- Service Type: The Service Type & CBI Unique ID associated with the billing code will be displayed. Just click “Next” on the next two screens to proceed.
- Review and Privacy Act Statement: This is your last chance to review your information and ensure it is correct. Scroll to the bottom and click on the acknowledgement that you have read the privacy act statement. Click “Next”.
- Order Summary: You will see a summary of your order. Click “Finish”.
- Order Confirmation: Your confirmation will be displayed with your order number which will also be en click “Next.”
- Service Type: The Service Type & CBI Unique ID associated with the billing code will be displayed. Just click “Next” on the next two screens to proceed.
- Personal Information: Your personal information from when you created your account will be displayed. Double check all of your information to make sure it is correct! Click “Edit Profile” to make any changes/corrections. Click “Next”.
- DOB Confirmation: You need to enter your DOB and if applicable, the last four of your SSN to proceed. These must match what was entered for your profile. Click “Confirm”.
- Fingerprint Information: Enter the information needed - place of birth, citizenship, race, eye color, etc.
- Review and Privacy Act Statement: This is your last chance to review your information and ensure it is correct. Scroll to the bottom and click on the acknowledgement that you have read the privacy act statement. Click “Next”.
- Order Summary: You will see a summary of your order. Click “Finish”.
- Order Confirmation: Your confirmation will be displayed with your order number which will also be emailed to your email address.
For your appointment:
- Bring a valid government issued photo ID.
- Bring your Order ID from the fingerprint registration.
- Unable to make it to your appointment? Log into your account to reschedule.
At Your Appointment:
- A Partners staff member will greet you and ask for your order number and government issued photo ID (preferably your driver’s license).
- We will record digital scans of each of your fingers on the scanner. (The Colorado Fingerprinting process does not use ink and paper; fingerprints are captured by digital scans.)
- We will transmit your file to CBI via Colorado Fingerprinting.
- After your appointment: Colorado Fingerprinting/CBI will email you when your file has been reviewed, usually in 1-3 days.
- NOTE: If you ordered a fingerprint card, Colorado Fingerprinting will mail your digitally captured fingerprints on FD-258 fingerprint cards which meet all state, federal and other agency requirements.
