Become a Community Based Mentor

Becoming a mentor is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to your community and make a difference in the life of a young person.

Did you know that having a trusted adult in the life of a child is the number one preventative factor for future high risk behavior?

You do not have to have prior experience with youth to volunteer as a Mentor! You just have to be an adult over the age of 21 who lives in the community, and who cares about the youth of Routt County. Mentors are asked to spend one to three hours a week for one year with their Mentee.

Want to learn more about how to become a mentor and if it's right for you?

Interested in becoming a mentor?! Fill out our online application by clicking the link below.

Don't want to fill it out online? Stop by our office (2673 Jacob Circle) to pick one up or you can download an application below and email it to info@partnersyouth.org

Become an Activity Volunteer!

Do you want to have fun AND provide support for youth in our community at the same time? Become an Activity Volunteer!

An Activity Volunteer assists Partners staff in providing activities for youth who are in our Nexus ("next in line") Program while they wait for a mentor.  We have planned group recreational activities every month. Each Activity Volunteer is matched with 1-3 youth during these activities.

You do not have to have prior experience with youth to volunteer! You just have to be an adult over the age of 21 who lives in the community, and who cares about the youth in Routt County. Partners provides ongoing support and training for all volunteers.

Volunteers fill out an application, participate in an interview, undergo a background check with fingerprinting, attend a mentor training and provide references.
