School Based Mentoring

The School Based Mentoring program model places part-time screened, trained, and supervised mentors at some of the schools in Routt County. Mentors provide guidance, support and tutoring to each of their 10 target students whose qualifying criteria are similar to the CBM program. Mentors spend a minimum of one hour per week with each of their target students, promoting the elements of positive youth development, and assisting with academics, social-emotional issues, and decisions-making skills. They also plan and implement weekly in-school and after-school programs, and service-learning opportunities which are offered to all students in their respective schools.
